Compassion Research Lab Inc. (“we”, “our” or “us”) provides online learning through our website and learning management system, which is hosted on Thinkific Labs Inc. (“Thinkific”).
We collect the information you provide when you:
- Create an account or enroll in a course (name, email, password, course enrollment and activity).
- Contact us for support.
- Provide course feedback or testimonials (and with your explicit consent, we may publish your name, role, and organization alongside your feedback).
- Make a payment (processed securely by Thinkific’s payment providers; we do not store full card details).
- Any personal information you may submit through the Thinkific platform will be collected, used, disclosed, or otherwise processed in accordance with Thinkific’s privacy policy, found at https://www.thinkific.com/privacy-policy/.
- We also collect technical data (e.g., cookies, device/browser info, analytics) to improve our services.
We use personal information to:
- Provide course access, support, and updates.

Thinkific uses third-party providers such as Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform, which may be located outside Canada (for example, in the United States). While outside Canada, personal information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions and accessible to their courts, law enforcement, and authorities. We rely on Thinkific’s contractual, organizational, and technical safeguards to protect your data.
In addition, if you submit information to us through our website contact form (such as your name, email address, location, or occupation), that information is transmitted through our website host, Webflow, and delivered to us by email using Gmail. These services may also process and store information outside Canada. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect the personal information received through these channels.
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal or business requirements. You may request deletion of your information, and we will comply where legally and technically feasible.
