Yes, the one-day EnACT program can be repeated across consecutive days. Ideally, it is desirable and most efficient to deliver it over a single day, but in order to ensure clinical coverage and to allow entire teams to get certified, it can be delivered over the course of a few days. While training sessions can be spread over multiple weeks, this is not recommended as it leads to additional costs and takes away from the continuity of the program.
Because we know that compassion is a team sport, healthcare providers and senior leaders learn together. The curricular content of EnACT ranges from clinical skills training that is transferable to executive teams to specific content and exercises focused on how to improve compassion within the broader organization. In short, EnACT was designed to improve compassion from the bedside to the boardroom—and the evidence for EnACT supports this.
EnACT in-person training is delivered by the Director of the Compassion Research Lab, Dr. Shane Sinclair. In addition to being an international research leader on the topic of compassion, he is also an award-winning educator and clinician.
We do not restrict the number of learners at a single offering of the EnACT program. However, we have found groups of 20-40 individuals is ideal as EnACT is an interactive training program that contains group exercises, discussion, role-playing, and an environment that promotes learner participation and trust.
